And They Say I'm Small?!?!

Well, we figured it was time for another belly shot. I've sort of been holding back, since I've been talking about how small I am - don't exactly need to document it, you know? So, I tried to have it photographed in such a way as to make it look as large as possible. I know, I'm so sneaky.

And here, the trigger-happy grandma caught me as I was rolling off the sofa. I figured I'd like the picture better if I smiled, but that wasn't exactly how I was feeling, as the baby was sitting hard and low.

p.s. and the naked belly? well, my mother occasionally asks me whether I will "bring the baby out to play" so that she can watch the baby practicing its aikido.

ahhH! MARA! so unbelievably beautiful! your baby is just inside that belly! i love these photos; i feel like i've been dreaming for them for months. thank you thank you thank you. you don't look tiny, you look gorgeous serene. i love these.

thank you also for your comments on the blog, and for offering supportive ideas about my being away from the husband right now. they very much help and give me a good perspective to learn from.

you and your ma and yer bebe were in my prayers in the Shrine at Bahji yesterday, too. i think i associate the healing prayer for women with your family now.

and i also can't wait one tiny little bit to come over and see you lot and to be able to hold your child. even thinking about it is too much of a blessing.

love you,
love from leila

very gorgeous. i think you look just perfect. it's all relative, if you put that size belly on someone my height it would be HUGE :) it's only because you're longer, it give the ILLUSION of being smaller ;) love you guys lots, amelia

absolutely PERFECT! Mara, you look absolutely gorgeous(er). Wanna giggle (on a separate topic)? At the eulogy for Gram (you know... LUCILLE??), the priest or whatever he was called her "Lillian". Not once, not twice ...THREE TIMES! I'm surprised she didn't hop out of the casket and poke him and call him out loud what we were all calling him in our heads. Morbid? yes ... but given that it is our fam, it was funny. It was the one time that I was actually happy that Dad hit the roof. Much love to all of you. :)

you look beautiful!
love,
taha

Congrats Mara, that is a great milestone to make!

I hope things are well with you and Mark!

I would enjoy catching-up more over e-mail: gubes9@yahoo.com

Mara! I ran into Linda from your community, who has just started her pilgrimage. It was nice to have a connect with you and your fam, here in Haifa. I can't wait to see you, Mark and Baby Fo. You know I'll be going to Penn State, right? Only a four hour drive to Cleveland! Woo hoo! So you're on my visit list for this July!

Can you email me your home phone number? I'd love to call you before baby makes the big debut and really starts to occupy your time. (Hehe!)

Yay! Yay! Oooh! Oooh!

Oh, Mara, I'm so 'cited! You look so good! I'm hopping up and down and being excited and people are gathering around my desk and saying "Who's that?" and Anne is telling me to settle down and people are staring.

Ahem. Back to work. You look lovely, Sis.

You look awesome! I wish we could "play dress-up" like we used to, I bet with your new figure we'd be having some good laughs....I have this one dress...:)
